Mason District Candidate running hard against Incumbent

This year Mason district residents will have a strong candidate to compare incumbent Penny Gross against.  Vellie Dietrich Hall has been running strong and hard since announcing her campaign back in January of this year.  Vellie has been out there knocking on the doors of residents every week.  She has had face to face meetings with over 7,000 residents to date.  As she speaks with these residents, Vellie is hearing that the overriding concern of most of them is the rise in crime in the district over the past four years.  This rise in crime can be correlated to the increase in illegal immigrants that have found their way into the district.

There is also an increase in the amount property damage and littering, along with loitering in the district.  While on its face these small crimes may seem innocuous, over time the fabric and quality of life within the district will begin to slowly erode away.  The incumbent Ms. Gross is very content with the way things are currently progressing in Mason District, as evidenced in her weekly All is well in Mason column.  Ms. Gross does not see a problem with the overcrowding in residential homes, Ms. Gross does not see a problem with the loitering and littering of the illegal immigrants in Mason District, and Ms. Gross does not seem to grasp the fact that crime is on the rise within the district, as she is under the opinion that crime is actually falling within the district, again as reported in her weekly All is well in Mason column.

It is time to change the course of Mason District and bring back a sense of community and safety to the residents of Mason District.  If you would like to have a Supervisor who seeks your input, a Supervisor who seeks to reduce the crime in Mason District and will not turn a blind eye to obvious violations of county ordinances and state laws, and finally, if you would like a Supervisor who understands what a being a citizen of this country is all about and who understands the duty and responsibility that comes with being a Supervisor, then Vote for Vellie Dietrich Hall for Mason District Supervisor in Fairfax County.

Chavez: It's only OK if I do it

Chavez Let us flashback to 2006 when Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez, pusher of Citgo gasoline, came barnstorming through the United States and landed in the United Nations Building, which is located in New York in these United States of America.  Dictator Chavez proceeded to hurl insult after insult at our President George W. Bush, calling him the devil.  Also, remember that at the time, there were some influential Americans who came to the defense of Chavez and hate speech he was directing towards our President and indirectly towards us as Americans.

Well, it now appears that Dictator Chavez does not want to allow anyone to come into his playground and start calling him names, or to speak unkindly about his form of government.  Dictator Chavez has ordered that any foreigner caught speaking negatively about him or his government will be asked to remove themselves from Venezuela post haste.

All eyes are now on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors

One week after Prince William County blazed the trail and passed a resolution aimed at denying illegal immigrants access to local county services, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors followed suit and passed their own version of that resolution aimed at denying taxpayer funded services from being accessed by illegal immigrants.  The focus now switches to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the action they plan to take in light of what their neighboring counties have done.

Connolly_2 If the Fairfax County BOS does not act and pass similar resolution, then the residents of Fairfax County should expect that their county will be overrun by illegal immigrants seeking a safe haven and a place to hide from the authorities in Loudoun and Prince William Counties.  This a golden opportunity for Chairmen Connolly and his fellow board members to show the residents of Fairfax County that they were against the Day Labor Center and that they are in fact a leading County when it comes to the rule of law and protecting that value of taxpayer dollars and the services that those dollars are earmarked to provide to those who are here legally and in true need of county services.  Let us sit back watch the action of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.  If there is not action similar to that Prince William and Loudoun Counties, then I suggest that you the taxpayer and voter consider showing your outrage at the ballot box and vote to elect Vellie Dietrich Hall in Mason, Pat Herrity in Springfield, and vote to elect Gary Baise as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and allow them to work to enact the rules and laws that you have come to expect from your elected officials in Fairfax County.

Hillary called on her pandering during Howard University debate

Hill_black_2 Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has finally been called to task for misrepresenting her record.  A group of black business owners have accused Ms. Clinton of pandering to her audience when she made the statements she made concerning HIV and Aids within the black community.

Finally, people in the black community are starting to address these candidates and their lack of accountablity for their voting one way and making statements and comments that are contrary to their record.  If Hillary is sure that the HIV issue would be addressed if it were affecting white women as it is affecting black women, then let's see her sponsor legislation that will help address this problem.  Has Hillary put forth this legislation?

Bravo Ms. Harriet Miers for refusing to Appear!!!

Harriet_miers Harriet Miers, the former White House Counsel, has heeded the advice of the President and refused to appear before the Congressional House Judiciary Committee that is supposedly investigating the firing of US Attorneys by the President.  I think this country has had enough of this Congress and its investigations into the White House and the President.  This Congress has decided that they will not address any of the issues that the country would like addressed, such as the Healthcare issue, the Illegal Immigration issue, the Poverty issue, and the whatever other real issues that the country faces.  This Congress is hell bent on having every one of the President's advisers come before them  and various committees via hearings and answer any and all questions that they the Congress feels necessary.  Why?  Because they, the Congress feels that if they can ask enough questions and question enough people, they will eventually find something that the President may have done that may be somewhat questionable and therefore may be something that could possibly lead to a criminal charge against the President and the Democrats ultimate prize, Karl Rove.

Through the previous hearings that this Congress has had regarding the President's firing US Attorneys as is his privilege as these Attorneys serve at the President's pleasure, have the Congress uncovered any wrongdoing by the President or have they uncovered any criminal acts by the President, the answer is no.

The mandate that this Congress supposedly received from the November 2006 elections was not to have unlimited hearings and subpoenas for everyone in the Executive branch.  This Congress will be remember over the course of time as the Congress that deemed the Executive branch guilty, and then the Congress went about the process of investigating each and everyone who ever served in the Executive branch during the time period of January 2001 through the present to find out what that guilt was or is.

America you are once again are called upon to replace these clowns with people who are interested in helping this country progress and prosper through growth and sound legislative representation.  So beginning in November 2007 at your local level, you must send a clear and concise message to the Democrats that you, the American people, expect sound leadership and representation, you want leaders that will protect you and your family from those that are seeking to harm them, that you want a government that is interested in solving problems and issues, and that you want leaders that are interested in making the hard and tough decisions that this current world environment may require.

This reporter was focusing on the story only

and not his surroundings.

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors should follow

the lead of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors and draft and pass a meaningful legislation to deal with the problem of illegal immigration and the resultant increases in crimes, overcrowding in residences and the slow deterioration of overall communities with trash and filth in the streets.  I would hope that Chairman Connolly could see fit the think of his constituents before he thinks of his benefactors, the developers and builders in this community.

If each community would do its part to pass legislation on a local level that effective deals with the issue of illegal immigrants and illegal immigration then the federal government will have no choice but to bent to the will of the people and put forth meaningful and effective solutions to this problem.

Democrats agree to debate for Gays only

Democrats continue to lead the way for the next President of these United States to be a Republican.  I think that to have this debate where the candidates are focusing only on the issues of the gay community is counterproductive.  I did not like the idea of the candidates having a debate a few weeks back for the Black community, or should I say African American.  The major issues that this country face are not specific to any one group of people or to a group of people who choice a certain sexual lifestyle.  These debates do not offer the country as a whole anything that will help the citizens as a whole decide who should lead this nation.

July 4th Parade with Mason Supervisor Candidate

Vellie_parade1 I had the distinct pleasure to be a part of the Vellie Dietrich-Hall for Mason District Supervisor Lake Barcroft July 4th Parade contingent.  The Lake Barcroft Parade is an annual July 4th Parade that the residents of Lake Barcroft have each and every year.  The parade lasts for about 45 minutes as you parade from one beach location to another.  After the parade these is a huge annual July 4th celebration and later in the day they also have fireworks show.  This event is a great community run together that I thinks it represents what America and 4th of July are all about.

Vellie was the only candidate to actually march in the parade this year that I was aware of.  Vellie actually had about 30 volunteers in the parade marching with her and helping her to get her message of change out to the voters.  I did see her Democratic opponent and current Mason Supervisor Ms. Gross at the end of the parade.  I will say that when the Vellie Dietrich-Hall for Supervisor contingent arrived at the end point of the parade they were cheering and making alot of noise for Vellie.  I think that the residents of Lake Barcroft appreciated the fact that Vellie actually took the time to march in their parade with them on this 4th of July.  There other parades that Ms. Dietrich-Hall could marched in, like the Fairfax City parade to name one.  But, Ms. Dietrich-Hall decided to march in a parade right in the heart of her district and show the people that she cares about them and the issues that concern them.

I actually had a chance to speak to a couple of the Lake Barcroft residents and they stated that they were very much appreciative of the fact that Vellie chose to march in their July 4th parade.  A few of the people I spoke with actually had a chance to meet Vellie and spend a few moments chatting with her prior to the parade and came away from the discussion feeling that they spoke with someone who actually cares about the concerns and issues that confront them.  All and all the parade and events that followed made for a great day to spend with friends and/or neighbors.

The Dems are spinning out of control this morning

Last night President Bush commuted the sentence of Scooter Libby and this morning if you listen to liberal talk radio, you will hear them spinning out of control and blowing gaskets all over America.  and I am LMAO this morning.

First Scooter Libby should not have been charged with any crime, let alone lying to a Grand Jury.  The Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald knew that the person who leaked so-called undercover agent Valerie Plame's identity was Richard Armitage in the first two weeks of his investigation.  My question is why did Fitzgerald continue with his investigation if he knew the answer to his question already.  This man was interested in making a name for himself.  Fitzgerald found myself on the national stage, where he had all the spotlight to himself.  This man should be investigated and charge with wasting taxpayer funds needlessly.

President Bush, I trust that you plan to fully pardon Scooter Libby as one of your final acts as President in 2009.

Pelosi and Reid try to shift blame

Pelosi_2_2 Let's remember back to November 2006 after the election that the Democrats were Reid_2 high flying and shouting that the American people have sent a mandate to the Congress that they want change.  All we have heard since then was all about this so-called mandate from the American people to this Congress.  Now as the approval rating of this Congress is the lowest ever, even lower than the President's, what do the Dems do they try and shift the blame to the Republicans for their inability to deliver on any of the promises and proposals, except for the minimum wage increase.  The Dems have failed to lead on the Immigration issue, they have failed in their attempt to surrender the Iraq War, and they have failed to pass any meaningful legislation since their election.

The one thing that this Congress has done is held hearings and investigated everything under the Sun, and what do they have to show for all their investigating, an approval rating of 14%.  This Congress should have and still can focus on the issues and problems that concern the American People.
